THE MULTIFACETED ARAB WOMAN – SHEIKHA HEND FAISAL AL QASSEMI
“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.” ~ Diane Mariechild
As you all know, I have always found immense pleasure in featuring strong, independent and inspirational women stories on my show. Women who inspire, women who break the stereotypes and bring about change, women who transform the world have always held a special place in my heart. This interest of mine drove me to feature a special segment this time with Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassemi, who is a committed philanthropist, an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and artist. A multi-faceted woman, she is not only the CEO of Paris, London, New York Events and Publishing, a multi-industry conglomerated, but also the designer behind HOUSE OF HEND, a luxury fashion brand, Editor-in-Chief of VELVET Magazine, a leading luxury lifestyle publication in the Gulf, and an artist and author at heart. She is an inspiration to millions of women across the world from the fashion industry and those with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Since it is the childhood experiences that shape a person and decide the course of his life, I spoke to Sheikha Hend in detail about the experiences she had and the lessons she learned from her childhood that inspired her to become who she is today! She spoke to us about how her grandmother, a great source of inspiration for her, had sown the seeds of entrepreneurship in the family; Sheikha Hend had learned from a young age, how important it was to be independent and self-reliant at every stage of life. This is one of the things that Sheikha Hend shared with us which holds great learning value. I must say after speaking with her that she is a beautiful woman inside out with a path-breaking vision and strong mission who aims to empower and create opportunities for women that will take them places!
Watch the video below to know more about Sheikha Hend and the valuable lessons she learned which carved her into a successful woman entrepreneur today:
A shout out to all the women out there….Do write to me what inspired you about Sheikha Hend and what has been a source of inspiration in your life?
